Red Oak Weathered Oak And Classic Gray Stain
It pulls hints of gray which helps to give it the weathered look.
Red oak weathered oak and classic gray stain. Classic gray and jacobean was beautiful with the grey lines and brown but still a little too dark used 50 50. Weathered oak has a hint of gray to it but not much. If you re wanting to go slightly darker than the pickled oak or wanting stain with hints of brown and gray you should probably give weathered oak a try. The grey combats the yellow tannin pull from white oak.
Weathered oak by minwax seemed to be the most brown of all the stains i tested and hints of gray tones were picked up in different areas of the wood grain. If you want a slightly deeper greige use 1 2 classic grey and 1 2 weathered oak. I ve noticed that pics of floors are very different depending on the light. Dark walnut 2716.
My wife and i wanted to add 25 classic gray to 75 weather oak. Weathered oak looks too unfinished. My white oak floors are turning out lovely perfect light greige color. This makes a light floor.
Use 1 2 country white 1 4 classic grey 1 4 weathered oak. This stain also took two heavy coats for the color to be deep enough for me to really get a sense of the color but it s still a bit on the light side. Every single piece of wood took on a gray hue including the red oak.
